Highlights of the agency's first full year included:
- The CMAP Board's Strategic Report on Vision, Governance and Funding, submitted to the Governor and General Assembly
- The joint Memorandum of Understanding between the CMAP Board and the MPO Policy Committee
- Passage of Senate Bill 1201, which will provide stable funding for CMAP and other regional planning agencies in Illinois
- The Board's strong advocacy for an Illiinois program of capital investments for transportation and other infrastructure
- Initiation of metropolitan Chicago's first Regional Comprehensive Plan
- Creation of the Regional Water Supply Planning Group
- Summits on economic development and on the integration of jobs, housing, and transportation
- The CMAP Travel Tracker Survey
- Development of the FY08 Work Plan, with a new set of policies for project management
- Consolidation of the former CATS and NIPC staff to create the staff of CMAP
