May 22, 2024 New guide and data can help communities make equitable flood investments The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) released a new guide, Integrating equity into flood resilience investments, to help engineers, planners, and decision makers make equitable investments in stormwater and resilience projects. Included with that guide is a new dataset CMAP compiled to help local governments, engineers, and planners target investments in communities disproportionally impacted by flooding. The dataset includes several data types covering socioeconomic, demographic, health, and environmental inequities. Read about this and more in the Data Update newsletter.
