September 1, 2023 Plan of Action for Regional Transit now available The Plan of Action for Regional Transit (PART) draft report outlines bold solutions to the pressing fiscal challenges facing our region’s transit system in 2026 and recommends changes that can transform and strengthen the system for the future. The report is in response to the state’s mandate tasking CMAP with developing legislative recommendations that envision a stronger and more financially secure transit system. The report requires adoption by the CMAP Board and the Metropolitan Planning Organization Policy Committee, who will have joint meetings on Wednesday, September 13, and Wednesday, October 11. The report must be submitted to the Illinois General Assembly and the governor’s office by Monday, January 1.
