Working with local communities Local communities know their challenges best. That’s why the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) is meeting with local government leaders to learn about how communities are already planning for the future and what issues The Century Plan should prioritize for regional coordination. These local insights workshops are being held in each council of government sub-area. We’re looking at how regional trends are showing up at the local level and getting direct input from the folks on the ground about how a regional framework can support their priorities.
