2025 Annual Report: Solving for tomorrow, today

For the last two decades, the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) has worked with our partners across jurisdictions and agencies to solve complex challenges and deliver real results for the people of northeastern Illinois. The 2025 Annual Report showcases our history and the significant regional milestones we achieved — together.

We’re excited to share more about our accomplishments in this report, none of which would be possible without the commitment and support of our board, committees, team members, and partners. These are just a few examples of how CMAP is continuing its 20-year legacy of excellence and service to this region by:

• Advancing the Regional Transportation Plan and the Comprehensive Climate Action Plan
• Celebrating our people and culture, as well as their innovation and award-winning work
• Influencing through data and tools that shape housing and development policies and drive regional action

• Strengthening our communities and region, through efforts like our technical assistance program, advocacy agenda, and transportation project prioritization
• Working towards a better transportation system with landmark legislation that delivers funding and governance reform
