Attend CMAP’s open house for consultants on February 4

Prospective and current consultants are invited to join the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) for an in-person open house focused on the agency’s upcoming work. This is an excellent opportunity for informal discussions, as well as questions about the agency’s numerous focus areas and anticipated consultant needs. 

CMAP staff members will provide an overview of the agency’s work and highlight areas of consultant support tied to future partnership opportunities, including work planned for fiscal year 2027 and beyond. 

Consultant open house details 

Date: Wednesday, February 4, 2026 
Time: 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. 
Location: CMAP Office, Cook County Conference Room, 433 W. Van Buren St., Suite 450, Chicago, IL 60607 

During the open house, attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from CMAP team members about upcoming programs of work, including: 

• Bike and pedestrian plans 
• Capital improvement plans 
• Market and demographic analyses 
• Planning and technical assistance projects 
• Planning renderings, illustrations, drawings, and graphic design 
• Public finance and transportation funding analyses 
• Public right-of-way Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) transition plans 
• Safety action plans 
• Stakeholder and community engagement 
• Subarea, corridor, neighborhood, downtown, and site plans 
• Transportation plans, including arterial corridor studies 
• Travel activity data capture and processing 
• Water quality modeling
